Common Problems & Solutions...
If you cannot find the answer to your question here, and you have launched the program and clicked on "HELP" and read the full documentation, then please contact our support team for assistance. I posted my ad, but it does not appear on one or more message boards, What's wrong?:
MESSAGE BOARD limitations & "Forbidden Errors": The most common problem with submitting to message boards is the fact that message boards limit the number of messages you can submit at once. They do this to prevent people from over populating the message boards. Typically you can submit to about 100 boards, before being temporarily "blocked" from accessing or submitting additional messages. This number will vary depending on your internet connection speed. The "temporary block out period" typically lasts about 1 hour. You will know if you are being blocked because if you try to submit more than approximately 100 messages, or visit a message board web site you will see an error "FORBIDDEN...you don't have permission to access". After 1 hour the block is removed, and you will then be able to submit again. Message Board Blaster will automatically SAVE your session from the exact point on the submission list for you, so you can continue your submission from where it left off. This limitation is imposed by the message boards, and NOT by message board blaster software. It is with this limitation that we have created the "SAVE SESSION" function. This function will auto-detect when your submissions are being blocked, and will stop submitting. Your session will be automatically saved, so after about an hour you may click on "BLAST IT" again to continue posting from where you left off. The amount of submissions you can make before being temporarily blocked is directly related to your internet connection speed. Our tests on a standard 56K modem connection allow approximatly 100-150 submissions. Our tests on an DSL high speed line allowed over 800 submissions before being temporarily blocked. Your rate of submissions will vary depending on your own connection speed. If you receive the "FORBIDDEN...you don't have permission to access" error message, you will NOT be able to submit or verify your submissions by visiting the message board web site because you are being temporarily blocked. The solution is to submit to approximatly 80-100 boards at a time. This is called a "session". By limiting your submissions to 80-100 you will then be able to visit each message board after submitting and verify your submissions BEFORE you are temporarily blocked. After an hour or so, the block will expire, and you can then finish submitting from where you left off. I posted my ad yesterday, and now it's gone today! What gives? This depends on the owner of each of the message boards you are posting to. Some webmasters leave them up for weeks or months, other (high traffic) boards delete them each day.
I cannot view my submission results, why not? You're submitting to too many boards at a time, which is preventing you from going back to view your ads--decrease your submissions down to 50 or so at a time. Consider running a test, select about 10 boards to post to, then click on "blast" to run the posting process. After that, a submission report will pop up and you can then click on a link and check your ads. You should wait about a minute before checking on your ads, as our software will post your ads very quicly, it may take a minute or two before they actually show up on the message board. All my attempts to submit are UNsuccessful. 1. Check and make sure your online before submitting 2. It could be your ISP, your internet service provider may have a lot of users (like AOL) , and insidetheweb.com limits the IP addresses that are allowed to post to their database. Here's a couple of suggestions: - You can wait a while, and try posting a little later. |
